About III kEUI

It is our great honour to invite distinguished guests to the 3rd European Universities Conference, to be held on 20 May 2026 at Poznan University of Technology. The fact that we are convening for the third time demonstrates that Polish universities have not only successfully integrated into international alliance structures, but are increasingly becoming their key architects. This year’s event provides a platform for debate on the next stage of integration: the construction of a cohesive and sustainable ecosystem of knowledge and competencies.

The conference serves as a platform for exchanging experiences in building international campuses and implementing innovative educational models. In the face of dynamic social and technological shifts, the meeting functions as an incubator of ideas and a catalyst for partnerships that tangibly enhance the mobility and competitiveness of European higher education on the global stage.

Focus areas

The theme of this year's event is ‘Shaping the Future of European Universities - Integrated Knowledge, Capacity and Skills’, explored through three main thematic strands that will form the foundation of our panels and discussions:

• Education | European Degree Label, flexible learning pathways and micro-credentials, Union of Skills, the Preparedness Union Strategy, skills of the future and EU competitiveness; strengthening the role of the education sector as a foundation for social and economic stability in the new financial perspective.
• Research and Innovation | Unlocking the full potential of synergies between Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, in order to maximise institutional impact; highlighting operational gaps between educational initiatives and research activities to ensure a seamless policy interface.
• Responsible Internationalisation | Knowledge security vs. knowledge diplomacy: symmetry, balance, and transparency of cooperation, security and ethical considerations in international cooperation, managing geopolitical risks in international academic cooperation, while simultaneously safeguarding core academic values.

Information on the Processing of Personal Data
In connection with your registration to participate in the meeting, we hereby inform you that:

1. The controller of your personal data is the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (“Controller”).
2. Personal data will be processed for the purpose of ensuring your participation in the event described in the introduction to this information notice.
3. For the purpose referred to in point 2 above, the following personal data are processed: first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, and name of organisation.
4. The data will be stored by the Controller until the completion of the service settlement and for the period required by law, to the extent necessary to fulfil the obligations arising from such regulations, or until you object to the processing of your data.
5. The data are protected by technical and organisational measures to ensure an appropriate level of security, in accordance with applicable regulations.
6. The Controller does not obtain data from third parties or publicly available sources and processes only the data provided by you for the purpose referred to in point 2 above (in accordance with Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
7. Data may be shared with:
a) entities providing IT services (including streaming platforms), accounting services, administrative services, or other services connected with the delivery of the event to the Controller;
b) trainers, to the extent necessary to carry out the training service;
c) institutions managing programmes implemented by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, to the extent necessary for the implementation of those programmes.
8. The legal basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of 27 April 2016.
9. You have the right to:
- obtain information about the processing of your data, including the categories of processed data and any recipients of the data,
- request the rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data,
- request the erasure or restriction of data processing – under the terms set out in the GDPR,
- object to the processing of your data – under the terms set out in the GDPR,
- data portability – by receiving your data from the Controller in a format that allows them to be transferred to a chosen third party,
- lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, 2 Stawki St, 00-193 Warsaw – if you consider that your data are being processed unlawfully.
10. You have the right to object to the processing of all or some of your data at any time. The objection does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to its submission.

Information on the Processing of Personal Data

4. The Data will be stored by the Controller until you withdraw your consent to receive information about the Controller’s activities, or until you object to the processing of your Data, or for a period of 36 months from the date of the last successful contact with you.
5. The Data are protected by technical and organisational measures to ensure an appropriate level of security, in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
6. The Controller does not obtain Data from third parties or publicly available sources and processes only the Data provided by you.
7. Data may be shared with entities providing IT services to the Controller.

  I grant my consent free of charge and without any time or quantity limitations. This consent covers the recording, editing, modification, reproduction of materials containing my recorded image, and their dissemination via any medium (any form of transmission of image and sound), in accordance with the purpose and activities conducted by the Foundation, in particular for promoting the programmes (projects) run by the Foundation, without the need for prior approval. Furthermore, the Foundation is entitled to provide materials containing my recorded image, as well as my personal data to the extent necessary for identification (first name and surname, institution), to entities with which the Foundation cooperates, for the purposes of promotion, use, and dissemination of the results of the activities conducted by the Foundation. I also declare that the use of my image in accordance with this consent does not infringe upon my personal rights or other legal rights. By granting the above consent, I acknowledge that:

1. The controller of the personal data (including my image processed on the basis of this consent) is the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (“Controller”).
2. Personal data will be processed solely for the purpose specified in the consent above.
3. My image will be processed for the period specified in the consent above.
4. The data are protected by technical and organisational measures to ensure an appropriate level of security, in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
5. The Controller will process my image for the purpose described in the consent above on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, and does not obtain data from third parties.
6. Data may be shared with:
   a) entities providing IT services to the Controller, accounting services, administrative services, or other services related to the implementation of the service;
   b) institutions managing programmes implemented by the Foundation, to the extent necessary for the implementation of these programmes.
